Lancashire is, if you ask me, criminally underrated as a staycation destination. Sandwiched as it is between the Lake District and the Yorkshire Dales, it’s easy to see how it gets overlooked, but that doesn’t mean it doesn’t have some beautiful walks and cosy village pubs. It’s the kind of place you can stay on a bank holiday weekend without having to get up at the crack of dawn to get a parking space!
