Since the construction of the M5, Somerset seems to have been forgotten, with holiday makers making a beeline down the motorway to Devon and Cornwall. All the better for us: as reactive dog owners, we prefer our holiday destinations on the quiet side, and we found Somerset (specifically Exmoor national park) ticked all of our boxes.
