Is there anywhere in Britain more strongly associated with summer holidays than Cornwall? Probably not, but that doesn’t mean you shouldn’t visit anyway (although my top tip would be to visit out of season). Cornwall’s miles of sandy beaches make this a top dog friendly holiday destination, and with dog bans on beaches only applying from 10am-6pm, there’s nothing to stop you having a great time whenever you go.

The Valley: perfect for families, this holiday village in south Cornwall is well sited for visiting lots of family and dog friendly attractions, including the Cornish Seal Sanctuary and the National Trust’s Trelissick. Plus, there’s a pool and restaurant onsite. Cottages come in a range of sizes with hot tub and enclosed garden options, with up to 2 dogs allowed.
Tye-ki: this charming cottage sleeps 2 adults, with surprisingly spacious interiors and a securely enclosed garden. It also has a man shed in the garden, complete with a dart board!
