Lancashire

Lancashire is, if you ask me, criminally underrated as a staycation destination. Sandwiched as it is between the Lake District and the Yorkshire Dales, it’s easy to see how it gets overlooked, but that doesn’t mean it doesn’t have some beautiful walks and cosy village pubs. It’s the kind of place you can stay on a bank holiday weekend without having to get up at the crack of dawn to get a parking space!

Dog Friendly Accommodation in Lancashire

Acre Hill Cottage: tucked away on a peaceful country lane, this cottage is in the heart of the Forest of Bowland and in an excellent location for exploring this AONB. Sleeps 2 adults and 2 medium-large dogs or 4 small dogs, with a log burner and enclosed garden.

Lakeland View: this budget friendly option is located in on a rural farm, where you can expect fantastic views as the sunsets over the Lancashire coast. Sleeps 2 adults on a mezzanine level, 1 dog allowed (although we asked if we could bring an extra dog and this was allowed).
